Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2

Environmental Assessment (EA) Available for Public Review and Comment.

An EA was developed pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to evaluate the project's first phase, or Initial Operating Segment (IOS), extending the Metro E Line from the Atlantic/Pomona Station in East Los Angeles to the proposed Greenwood/Washington Station in the City of Montebello. The EA analyses the potential environmental effects of the construction and operation of the IOS and incorporates recent project design refinements for the maintenance and storage facility to reduce potential environmental effects and cost.

Public Comment Period

The EA has been released for public review and comment for a 30-day period, through Friday, June 26, 2026. In addition to this web form, comments can also be submitted to the project email, project hotline and U.S. mail, and at a public hearing.

To submit a comment, follow these steps:
  1. Complete the "Contact Information" section (note that the "Submitted by" and "ZIP" are required fields)
  2. Indicate if you would like to be added to the project mailing list
  3. Insert your comments on the project, focused on the first phase (IOS) extending the Metro E Line between East Los Angeles and the City of Montebello
